Disney Infinity 3.0 is landing at the end of the month, more specifically on August 30th. And last week was Disney’s D23 Expo, in which they showed off several new features of Infinity 3.0 and a new trailer for an upcoming Play Set. The trailer is for Star Wars Twilight of the Republic play set and it was first shown off at the Expo, but it is now available for all to see. This play set is one three Star Wars themed ones that will be released for Disney Infinity 3.0 and they are inspired by the core Star Wars trilogy. The core story being Episode I, II, and III of the Star Wars franchise.

With the Twilight of the Republic play set, you will be able to start the adventure with Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker and his Padawan Ahsoka Tano to take back the galaxy. Throughout this adventure you will be defeating villains in epic battles, as well uncovering secret plots. You will be traveling through four iconic Star Wars locations, be able to use both Lightsabers and the Force in your battles, and to master your skills.

Even better this play set will be available right when you get the starter pack, as it comes with it. Earlier this summer at a Disney Preview Event I had the chance to play around with Disney Infinity 3.0 and the graphics looked great, the controls were smooth, my adrenaline was pumping, and they hype is real.

In the Disney Infinity 3.0 Edition Starter Pack you will get the base, the video game, the Twilight of the Republic play set, a web code for mobile devices and PC content, a Ahsoka Tano figure, and a Anakin Skywalker figure. By playing the game you will be able to unlock many other characters from the iconic franchise. Plus, you can get an entire line-up of characters previously announced, and Power Discs from 1.0 and 2.0 will work with the new enhanced Toy Box.

Lastly, Power Discs will no longer be sold in random packs, they will now be available in labeled franchise-specific packs of four. At launch or soon after, you will be able to a Disney Pixar Inside Out play set, as well expansion games, and more figures.

Disney Infinity 3.0 Edition will be landing on August 30th 2015 for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 60, Wii U, PC, iOS, and Android. Stay tuned for our full review of the game coming soon after launch, but in the meant time check out the trailer and a gallery below!
