Samsung is known for picture quality across its product line, although home entertainment is where it shines the brightest regarding picture quality. But a close second would be the computing division. Ahead of the official start of the 2018 Consumer Electronics Show, Samsung’s latest Curved QLED Monitor is packing a Thunderbolt 3 port.

It’s the first monitor to feature Intel’s Thunderbolt 3 connectivity. And this port is huge for computing and productivity as it can provide a processing speed of up to 40 Gbps. This is faster than a typical USB connection, almost four times as fast to be exact. It can not only extend the display of your laptop or tablet, but it can also power it. It also works across operating systems, meaning it can work with a Mac or Windows laptop computer.

Samsung’s CJ791 features a 34-inch 3440×1440 ultra-wide QHD display with a 21:9 aspect ratio. Specifically, it has a 1,500R curvature and ultra-wide 178-degree viewing angle which should make for a superb user experience. But, Samsung is holding short of revealing a launch date, pricing, and the exact specifications. However, we expect all of this to come to light next week at CES 2018.
