Snapchat has stickers, Facebook has stickers, and earlier this summer Twitter got stickers. As a new way to personalize photos being shared in a tweet on the social network. Today, Twitter is launching Promoted Sticks. Brands around the world can now create stickers.
These promoted stickers will come in sets of four or eight and will be stored next to regular stickers. From the end-user perspective, there is no difference except the brand will be listed as a title when browsing through the sticker library.
At launch, Pepsi is the only brand on board and is offering 50 promoted stickers across ten markets. Twitter is calling stickers a visual hashtag, so it will be interesting to see how brands make use of these.
